Hungry Ear Records carries Hawaii's largest new vinyl collection plus an extensive used LP section. We're always buying used LPs, CDs and memorabilia.

HUNGRY EAR HISTORY

Luke Yamashiro and two partners founded Hungry Ear Records in 1980. The Kailua store quickly became a landmark for lovers of all musical styles and formats. Sadly, Luke passed away in 2005, but his spirit and original store location live on, enriching the community.

In 2008, former Hungry Ear employees Ward Yamashita and Dennie Chong returned to run the store. Not only do they bring years of experience in the industry, but also years of collecting music. Hungry Ear Records continues to provide great customer service, selection, and shopping experience to locals and visitors.
